Mark is a native Houstonian and has actively served at CityRise Church since 2002. Mark and his wife, Joyce, have been married since 1994 and have two adult children, Matthew and Rebekah. Mark graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Industrial Distribution and retired from Shell Oil Company in 2024 after a 27-year career, where he served as a Supply Chain Manager.
Mark went on his first mission trip at the age of 12. That heart to serve and be deployed continued throughout his life, and he and his family have served annually in the Dominican Republic since 2013.
Today, Mark enjoys playing pickleball, fishing, and discipling men. His desire to lead men’s groups was inspired by a churchwide initiative in 2009, when he began walking alongside a consistent group of men for more than 10 years. Mark continues to be active in men’s ministry and believes that serving with FIND complements his experience and will help grow men’s discipleship in Houston and beyond.
