Supports FIND small groups in maintaining long-term group health and helping members continue growing as real men and real disciples. Through intentional conversations and shared reflection, Health Checks create space for groups to exchange ideas, identify best practices, and address challenges before they become obstacles. The committee also administers a periodic Member Survey, providing insight into the health of the ministry, surfacing opportunities for improvement, and helping share effective practices across FIND.

Group Health Checks

All new FIND groups, defined as those formed within the last three years, participate in an annual Health Check. These conversations typically include:

  • A review of the group’s history and meeting rhythms
  • Discussion of weekly logistics and group dynamics
  • Evaluation of the pillars of healthy groups, including fellowship, transparency, accountability, theology, and discipleship
  • Participation in off-site gatherings or retreats
  • Areas the group would like to improve or approach differently
  • Insights or advice to share with other FIND groups
  • Specific support or resources the group may need
  • Updates on FIND resources and upcoming events
  • Follow-up on action items from previous Health Checks

Groups formed more than three years ago complete a Health Check at least once every three years, with the option to participate annually during the other years of the cycle.

The FIND High–Low Tool

The FIND High–Low tool is emphasized during each Health Check as a proven way for groups to deepen connection and understanding. During a High–Low session, members share the highs and lows of their lives across business, personal, and spiritual areas, as well as what they are facing ahead. While conducted as a separate session, the insights gained often inform and strengthen the Health Check conversation.
